The garage can quickly and easily become overwhelmed and cluttered because we are generally trying to do a lot in just one room! Inside the house, it’s pretty obvious that we do certain activities in each room, like cook and eat in the kitchen, sleep and relax in the bedroom, etc. But in the garage, we are using it for multiple purposes and storing as a multi-purpose storage area.
Just consider some of the things that may go on in the garage: storage, parking, working out, woodworking along with yard equipment and tools taking up space.
It’s also easy for the garage to become a dumping ground because it’s out of sight out of mind from the interior of the home. Don’t know where something goes-toss it into the garage. Need to fix something-toss it into the garage. Need to pass something to someone else-toss it into the garage.
7 signs that your garage may need a clutter 9-1-1 rescue:

You have a small path that you have to wind through to get through the garage.
You have stacks and piles and everything is all mixed up.
You waste time looking for things in the garage because nothing has a clear home.
You have boxes of stuff you haven’t looked at in years stacked in the garage.
You feel drained every time you come home and use the garage as the entry into the home.
